1. Post When You’re Angry
How dare they? Don’t sit on that anger. Let the f-bombs fly and let everyone know how they have disappointed you.
2. Disregard Your Audience
What do you care what your audience thinks? How could they possibly impact you or your business?
3. Make Blog Posts Ambiguous
Create content which is unclear and subject to interpretation. What else do your followers have to do but try to figure out what you are upset about — today.
4. Don’t Be Yourself
Create a persona as far away from who you are as possible.
5. Share Nothing
You’re an expert in your field. Keep things close to the vest. Why would you want to help your followers get better at what they are doing?
6. Lie
Make up stuff as you go. They’ll never figure it out.
7. Don’t Add New Content
It’s hard work creating new content. There’s just so much to be known about what you do. Your website has everything anyone could ever want to know about your products. Blogging just makes no sense at all.
8. Don’t Respond To Questions or Comments
Look at digital marketing as a one-way street. Your time is valuable. Don’t waste it responding to questions, they’ll figure it out. Why bother being social on social media?
9. Do It All Yourself
Determine that this social media stuff is easy. After all, your kids and grand kids can do it. How hard can it be?
10. Don’t Ask For Help
There are plenty of YouTube videos on creating web content. You will figure it out — eventually. What else do you have to do?
If you could use some help on your Digital Marketing plans though, I can help. Contact me.
